New Developments from Visible Interactions:
Enlighten software is now being used to drive exhibitions in:
Magna, South Yorkshire’s Science Adventure Centre: Enlighten is the technology which drives a major new exhibit – ‘Steel Reveal’. Custom built, steerable searchlights are mounted on the railing along a walkway in the massive industrial space formerly occupied by the steel rolling machinery and arc furnace. The lights trigger sound, video and other special effects.
Hampshire Technology Centre Trust, INTECH, Winchester: Hand held flashlights are used to ‘Explore the Universe’ by interacting with a set of high quality images of the night sky. Adults and children have different torches which trigger different, age appropriate sound tracks. It has encouraged collaboration and exploration as families share their different discoveries with each other
Eturia Heritage Museum, Stoke-on-Trent: Hand held flashlights trigger soundtracks in the heritage centre. For this project we were able to provide a system robust enough to function in a building that is open to the weather. This involves changes in humidity, temperature and light.
